Chris has been an advisor and civil litigator for more than 16 years, focusing his practice primarily on labor and employment law, appeals, and estate planning. His experience in employment law ranges from advising clients on appropriate employment practices and policies to minimize liability, to representing clients in administrative and litigation matters involving issues such as discrimination, wage and hour claims, wrongful discharge, sexual harassment, trade secrets, covenants not to compete, defamation, equal pay, whistle blower, and class actions. Chris has drafted and reviewed numerous employment agreements, such as non-compete/non-solicitation agreements, severance agreements, executive officer agreements, and confidentiality/non-disclosure agreements.
Additionally, Chris has a successful appellate practice, having briefed and argued more than a dozen appeals in state and federal courts involving a wide range of issues, including: quiet title, due process rights, discrimination, wage and hour, insurance coverage, federal jurisdiction, and family law. Chris has been a frequent guest speaker on employment law topics for industry professionals, lawyers, and clients.
Following law school, Chris served as a law clerk to Colorado Supreme Court Justice Nathan “Ben” Coats.
In his free time, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, cooking, and traveling.
